A month ago Jonathan Leger post an article about “Avoiding the snare of trash traffic”, and i was fascinated by it that i did my own testing. It’s true that you could get thousand or even millons visitor to your site. But the question is, is it worth it. With just 45 bucks or less you can get your site swarm with visitor. How this is done, literaly the so called “Traffic Broker” will line up all the links that you submit to them into a system called “Autosurf”.

What will happened then is the visitor will get commission by just visiting you site with a certain amount duration of time, (usually 8 second). Apparently, this is useless to us marketers as the visitors are clearly no targeted. They’re only care about the commission. Since the system will auto rotate the sites, some might not even bother to see the website.

The above stat i did with 2 different traffic broker with 3 different sites of mine. Clearly you can see i’m getting hundreds of raw clicks, which means either it’s the same visitor visits my sites or there’s a bunch of auto surfers coming from the same IP network address.

As i said, the auto surf systems usually sets up to 8 second before continuing other sites, you can see the Level 1 stat are the only level that has number people stayed in my site, even so there’s about 68.3% my visitor stayed for 8 second, i’ve lost my other 29.7%. Hmm, there’s 5% on Level 2 and 3, probably one of the visitor got his pc hung up or maybe he’s really interested, but which ever is it, i’m still not getting any sales (Yes, these 3 site are sale page, selling products)

As a conclusion, i think these so called cheap traffic are not worth it. Unless if you try to test to proof something or simply just want to impress people that you’re getting hits to your sites.

What are the sure way to persuade your lists or visitor to buy product trough your affiliate. One might say create a page and write a compelling review about the product and put your cloak affiliate link in it. Other method that i find really works is offer a bonus. This technique is really simple yet effective.

First go to cbmall and find a product that suite you, works best if you bought the product, so that you will know exactly how to write a review about it. Then create a simple page and write a brief review about it. Steal some words or graphic from the owner - make sure ask permission first. Before the bottom “buy” link tell your visitor that they will get a free bonus product, service or subscriptions if they buy from your affiliate link. Write a short report about your free give away stuff or even better provide a link to the sales page if you have one. Tell them that they will get your product which costs them $47 or whatever price for free if they buy through your affiliate link.

Then create another link explaining on how to get the bonuses. The easiest way, is ask them to mail to you their receipt - in this case their Clickbank receipt. And all you have to do is check the receipt in your click bank account and send them their bonuses if the receipt valid.

This is one powerful affiliate marketing tip that will surely fire up your affiliate income revenue. But there’s a catch. What if your bonuses got hundred ’s of visitor attention. This surely make stick in-front of your pc , checking and sending bonuses. This a tedious job.

One way to overcome this is to use an affiliate marketing software that i’ve used to automate all the steps above. It’s called Affiliate Bonus Manager (ABM). What it does is simply automate the receipt checking and sending bonuses to the buyers. All i have to do is just setup the bonuses offer page and the downloads. Then ABM will do the rest. They still will have to key in the receipt and ABM will check it for you and if it’s valid, ABM will send or redirect them to the bonus download page.

Here’s a recent updates about Undercoverprofits I received from them and some other Gurus. A couple days ago Baker (John Business Partner) mailed me that they will add couples of functionality in the software:

• Tracking foreign keywords on foreign sites (such as google.de, google.es, etc)…this would include google.uk (I love this features, see my previous post)
• Tracking keywords on other PPC engines such as Yahoo and MSN.
• Increased usability in the User Interface on the site

It is said, these 3 EXTREMELY POWERFUL functionality will be ready within next week. And i really like the fact that the software is not only for google adwords research tool, but also for other PPC engines too.

What can I say about these two software is that they are totally different and they’re targeting different audience too. You can read all the explanation by John Jonas in UndercoverProfits site.

So how much is it? As some of you might know, this is monthly subscription services. And it might pop up in your head “oh this must be like $97 or $127 a month”, don’t jump into any conclusion when it come to it’s price tag , read the sale page (27 March) from the beginning till the end. There will be no fluff or crap (in the sales page), you will see testimonials from HIGHLY RESPECTED GURUS.

It is said that the monthly subscriptions for Undercoverprofits is not more than $300 a month. Merely less than 10 bucks a day. Hey, don’t get burnt out by the price tag. Go read the sales page, watch the video or do search “spy adwords competitors”. If any of you own one of Click Flipping, Affiliate Project X, Google Cash, Adwords Black Book, The Definitive Guide To AdWords or Day Job Killer then you know how powerful this tool is for the affiliates.  Even some of the High Ranking Guru said, Undercoverprofits software should cost $7000 or more, now that’s crazy. Most affiliate marketers get confuse and easily get discourage when they can’t figured out why conversion rate are to low in Adwords. There are two major reasons why this is happen. First is what their ad are showing, typically how they write the sale copy. But I’ll cover this up later in my next post. In this post I want to share tips and tools that are use to find profitable keywords for adwords (second reason).

First go to NicheBot and subscribe, remember I said CHEAP not FREE. It’s only 9 buck per month. I like NicheBot because it gives access to 4 major word tracking services and Wordtracker is one of em’. The estimation is more precise than any other keyword services. Ok ok, since you’re too cheap for NichBot or wanna test the water first, go to free Wortracker keyword search.

Now let do a keywords search, in this example lets do ‘landscaping’ term and use free Wortracker keyword search.

It will show you 50 list of ‘landscaping’ variation keywords. Take the first 15 keywords term of ‘landscaping’ and one by one do search in www.google.com. You will then see u bunch of different ad for each keyword. Oh ya, you also need to know which country you want your ad to be targeted. Search for adword geo targeting for more info. If you outside US and wanted your adword ad to be in US google search, use Web Proxy. I won’t go detail why.

Take the entire ad website URL for each every 15 keyword – first page only. And write it some where, preferably in Excel. Why are we doing this, are these going to give us any information. Not yet, but for the next 7 days, it will. What you have to do now is, repeat the search with the 15 keywords and track record all the ads in the first google page for 7 days – minimum. In the process you will see which ads are maintained on the list and which are not. Obviously the most profitable keywords are the ads that maintain their ranking for the entire 7 day.

See how easy it was, some of you may think not. Well it’s fool proof and it’s FREE. I use this method at first when I started using Adwords, and it works. My CTR did increase. By looking the number of demand/searches in Wordtracker alone is not enough. And if you this method, you will find even more targeted keywords.

After I got enough money that I need, I bought a copy of Keyword Elite. The only reason I like this tool is because it has ‘Spy on Adwords Competitors’, which then I can record all the ads on the specific given keywords in some period of time, pretty much the same above method. Here the screen shot of example of ‘spyware’ term.

The problem with this, I still have to search manually my competitor or the ads that using the keywords that I think it’s profitable. But I was lucky recently when a friend emailed me that he found a darn perfect tool to do the entire dirty job. I mean the most tedious part with this method is to keep track all the competitors’ ads, what if I have more than 100 keywords lists that i think it’s profitable. Just wasted a lot of time there.

I have to say, undercoverprofits has all what I need to make my life A LOT easier and not waste all my precious time. All I need is the keyword I gather from NichBot or Wordtracker(free) and insert them in undercoverprofits tool, It takes about less than 2 minutes. Then it will do all the dirty work, all the searching. Just wait for some period of time and wallah, all the data will be presented to you when log in. Easy as pie There’s also some other cool future in this tool. Go and see for your self at www.undercoverprofits.com.

Now this tool is not publicized yet. Wait till March 27. The author (John Jonas) told, that only 300 spot will be reserved. Why, the software would become less effective to everyone who manages to get in. So don’t wait, go to Undercoverprofits and get subscribed while watching the VIDEO.

Since many have experience with Google slap - started a year ago, users have force to increase their bid amount. This usually happened when tens of advertisers use the same vendor URL. So the easiest way to overcome this is to get you own domain name. I highly recommend NameCheap for domain name services. As low as 8 bucks per domain name, you get more than a bargain. I have here two using NameCheap guideline you can use:

• Build your own landing page

Go to your vendor sale page and tick the keywords and important points. If you have the permission to use the material (picture, video etc), grab it all. Then create a simple one page site. Insert the picture (materials) and write a brief introduction and the benefit of ther product - better yet if you had experience using the product (so that you could post your result using the product). Then, in your “go to this link” or “buy here” etc. anchor text link, insert your affiliate link. As simple as that, finally you can use your own URL link (which will be displayed in the ad) in adwords without worrying being slapped.

Note: You might want to use link cloaker to hide those ugly affiliates link. I would recommend PowerLink Generator by Mike Filsaime or use my simple Link Cloaker

• Using redirect tool

If you too lazy to create a website, then you don’t have to create a one, but just simply redirect the link to vendor home page. With NameCheap you can use URL Forwarding future included in the services. It also has URL Frame Forwarding, meaning your URL will remain intact even its redirect to your vendor website. This makes your visitor think that the page is yours. But be warned, there’s a cookies issues with Clickbank if you use URL Frame Fowarding.

Both of these tips has its own plus and minus, try and test both of em’ and see which convert more. But the first tip will gradually increase to trustiness among potential buyers, They will see your website as a product review site, your words and proof will make them eager to find out more about the product, thus you are making a long potential buyers (this will discuss more in my future post - email capture, TAF, create trust etc.).

Extra: People have asked me how to create a simple redirect link without upload/plunge to much files into their servers or do much editing. I must stress that PowerLink Generator has it all, but again these people want it FREE. Well here’s the code, it’s in php:

Save above code in “redirect.php” or what ever you want, but it must be in php file. In this case, if you want to be redirected to the vendor site, just type: http://yourdomain.com/redirect.php?site=vendor. This example has the same meaning for the other entries in $links variable.
